Default New to the business

I am a Graphic Design student and will be starting a new job in the t-shirt printing business. I can prep files for offset but I am new to the screen printing industry. I would like to go to my new job with a working knowledge of the process with an emphasis on how to properly prepare original and existing files for screen print. Any help and/or sources would be appreciated. Thanks

You must learn to separate individual spot colors into vector images instead of depending on four color process for reproduction, then outputting them to Postscript printers to make positives for screen making.

If you have 6 heads on a press, that usually means only six spot colors - until you learn to use ink transparency or halftones to co-mingle opaque spot colors to simulate more colors.
