Need to Register?

HELLO FORUM FRIENDS

AFTER WEEKS OF RESEARCHING... I HAVE SET MY EYES ON THE RILEY HOPKINS SCREEN PRINTER MACHINE ( 6 COLOR / 4 STATION )

I WILL BE PURCHASING THE WHOLE KIT, AS SHOWN BELOW
Premier Screen Shop Setup w/ 6 Color 4 Station Press

MY QUESTION IS

1- IS THIS SET UP A GOOD START FOR A BEGINNER PRINTER SUCH AS MYSELF? OR SHOULD I BE LOOKING AT ANOTHER BRAND/ KIT?

2- SHOULD I GET THE JOYSTICK REGISTRATION? OR THR XYZ MICRO REGISTRATION? CAN ANYONE GIVE ME THEIR OPINIONS ON THESE TWO MECHANISMS?

I bought a screen printing setup a while back with a 6 color 4 station RH and i like it a lot. Its a real sturdy machine that was simple to setup. The screen clamp knobs and tilt knobs on the press make it easy to add/remove the screens. It also has joystick registration, which makes it easy for me to do alignments, i haven't use micro reg .so i cant say much about that.

I also have the Win 6/4 from SSS. I just upgraded to it and have used it for about 5 jobs so far. I think it's built very well, for the price. It's a great press for someone learning the ropes.

I got the joystick registration, but I'm probably going to upgrade to the XY reg soon for at least a couple of the printing heads. The joystick is not really a true micro-registration. It allows you to easily move the screen into registration, but then you have to tighten the clamps and hope the screen doesn't move when you tighten the clamps. And it pretty much always moves a little bit. To me, it's really not that much better than just manual registration where you eye-ball the screen and then clamp it down.

I've never used XY registration, but from what I understand, the screens are clamped in tight BEFORE registering them with the XY knobs.
