For a good manual press, you're looking at about $2000 - $5000 depending on number of printheads and features.

However, if you keep your eyes open, you can find great deals on used presses since so many get into this business thinking it'll be easy, buy all brand new equipment only to scrap the idea 6 months later.

It's definitely a buyers market.

Hi

At the Long Beach ISS show I looked at the Caps Screen Printer, they were printing a 6 color simulated process print. It looked good and held tight registration. The prices were good and they have everything you need for a startup.

CAPS International caters to small and medium-sized screen printers who want affordable and durable screen printing equipment. (Their Advertisement)

Now on to my pet peeve: I wish you guys would gives us some geographical clue to where you live, it helps when we recommend a seller or distributor that is in the same area. I don't like to recommend east coast business to west coast residents if there is a similar business in the same location, it save on transportation cost and shipping time.

Good Luck on finding the equipment you need.

The Riley Hopkins Win 6/4 is a very popular entry level press and I think its runs about $2700. I would not recommend anything lower than that. There are several good presses out there in the $3K-$4K range. Hix make a good one in that range, I think it's call the Premiere. I've heard some good things about CAPS presses, but also heard that their registration threads are too coarse which makes them hard to register. M&R is very good quality, but I don't think you can find a new one for under $4K.
