The "Richard" model is a solid reliable unit, but might be out of your price range - I'm not sure how much his wife would be prepared to let him go for. You could buy an apprentice much cheaper, but you'll still have food and bedding costs, etc. and they're sometimes a bit temperamental.

Yes, the "Richard" is one of the high-end models, the Cadillac of screenprinters. Now me, on the other hand, I'd be very cheap, more like a mo-ped. Of couse I'd probably break down a lot, you'd get wet when it rained, and I'd probably cause random fits of rage . But hey, you get what you pay for when it comes to buying a screen printer.

But seriously, what is your budget?

Your best bet is to look at all the manual press at the show, get behing them and print a sample. Mess with the micros and look at the construction. based on all this and your budget you should be able to find a good one. If you bring a truck with you to the show you can usually purchase the show models for less yet you have to take them with you at the end of the show.

I prefer M&R yet they are a little pricey. Well worth the money, IMO

Hi Derek

I posted this earlier.

At the Long Beach ISS show I looked at the Caps Screen Printer, they were printing a 6 color simulated process print. It looked good and held tight registration. The prices were good and they have everything you need for a startup.

CAPS International caters to small and medium-sized screen printers who want affordable and durable screen printing equipment. (Their Advertisement)

Good Luck on finding the equipment you need.
