Hi this is Gio. Im trying to print some shirts but my screens are real clogged from emulsion. The emulsion falls out when i apply emulsion remover but some emulsion around the letters doesn't fall out. Here is a picture of one screen, its a 110 and i exposed it for 6 minutes using auto sol 2000(emulsion) and i did this in my garage with the lights on. The emulsion remover is a powder that i bought from my local silkscreen supply shop. The powder i got is mixed with a gallon of water. What do you guys think my problem is?Where on the internet do you guys recomend buying supplies/chemicals from(best prices)? I would really apreciate it if you guys can help me out,Thanks.
You cannot let emulsions tripper dry. it will harden the emulsion making it almost impossible to remove. You need to get some caustic haze remover *BE VERY CAREFUL* Scrub on both sides and use a pressure washer to pound it out.
Were would be a good place to get a caustic haze remover? Is it real strong in smell like screen opener or does it ruin my mesh? Thanks

your ink and chemical supplier should carry the caustic haze. If you let it sit too long on a screen it will pop it so you have to be careful. Pounding out with a pressure washer might do the trick without the C Haze.

You have plenty of screen printing suppliers in the San Diego, Orange County, LA area. I suggest you focus on printing as many shirts as possible rather than searching for the best prices. Regular purchasing gets you the best prices.
The big red R and green leaves are ink stains. Use a strong vinyl ink wash (poly vinyl chloride - PVC plastisol ink).
Use a pressure washer for pesky emulsion. Novice screen makers have been using $100 cold water Home Depot units for ages. They leak after a while because you will use it every day. Buy another.
Stencil remover only works on well exposed stencils as it attacks and severs the crosslinks that made it water resistant when you exposed it to UV light.
