Default screen mesh to use

Hello all
I just picked up a job putting sponsors on the back of t-shirts and I have a question
what mesh screens to use? the shirts are royal blue, black, and white.
the art work is text with a small logo one color
I was thinking 110 mesh but was not sure

Thanks again everyone for the help.

what inks are you using and what is the smallest point size with the text? Ink color as well? 110 should work yet on the white T's you will be dumping more ink than necessary.

the colors will be white ink on the blue and black shirts and blue or black ink on the white shirt. The ink I'm using is wilfex? The text will be some what small I have to put about 10 sponsors on the back of the shirts.

Thanks again for all you help you guys have made learning much faster

You might try a 156 as its middle of the road. Will work with a print-flash-print
method for the darks and will lay less ink on the lights than a 110 will.

The best white on dark prints are made with higher tension and stiff sharp squeegees. Low tension makes you stroke slow and peel slow.

You can print incredible white prints with a softer hand if you have higher tension. If you start with a 110 mesh and it works, you will be able to do the same job with higher mesh and higher tension and you will be able to stroke faster with less ink.

I would probably use a 156 if I was limited to one screen. Otherwise, I'd use a 156 for the dark shirts and 230 for the lights
