Default PhotoEZ question

I have the PhotoEZ kit and I like it alot. Very easy to use and I've had good results with it.

Now, I want to start printing my designs on shirts to sell.

The ink that works with PhotoEZ needs to be heat set either with an iron without fixative or in a dryer with fixative.

Question/concern: You are supposed to wash the shirts before your use this product and after heatsetting either way, the shirt will not be "new" anymore.

How do you market a shirt as new after it has been laundered and/or heat set in a dryer?

Am I thinking too hard about this???

Thanks.

You shouldn't need to wash the shirts, and curing them in a conveyor oven (or other method) does not remove their "newness".

Hi Suz,

Solmu is right, there is no need to wash the shirts before or after the printing and heat setting.

I think probably because it's aimed primarily at the hobbyist market, users might decide to print on one of their own t-shirts that they've already worn, in which case, you probably should make sure it's been washed before you print.

Like Solmu says, no need!

Is anyone making money using this ezscreen set up? I like some of the benefits, but I have to wonder if they really are benefits. If you running a business this may not be a good option???

I think of it as more of a hobby that pays for itself. I only sell 30 to 50 shirts a month, but it pays for my time and supplies. I've wasted/ruined about 5 to 7 screens (not to mention all of the t shirts that didn't print right)and still have made my money back and have been able to buy more supplies.
