I have never used bleach to clean screens. I have heard of people using bleach or non foaming Simple Green to clean screen. Not to sure about how that will affect the life of your screens. Or how clean your screens will be.

never used bleach for removing emulsion. My guess is it won't work.

I have heard of simple green, as a degreaser before putting emulsion on.

I wouldn't use any of those, but I have heard of simple green for degreasing. Why not pay a few extra bucks and do it the right way? Especially for prepping the screen which is probably the most vital part. Plus, you can dilute most of products for degreasing, screen wash, etc.

I've used bleech and a scrub brush before. It works although not really practical. Make sure your in a well ventilated area. I was in a small bathroom with no window to open when I used it and it and the fumes stunk like heck.

I hate the smell of bleach, therefore spending the extra couple of bucks for actuall ink wash, and HCL { the stuff to wash out emulsion is simply Hydrochloric acid}.
