Hello everyone. I am designing a line of clothing to be screen printed (most likely) on Continental, American, and Alternative blanks. This is my first time doing this and I have a few questions.
First, what is the maximum resolution when printing on your average 100% cotton tee? Could an image like this:
Clinton Clark Scrapbook<br>Part 1 be printed correctly, or is there too much fine detail? This is assuming the image is properly cleaned up, of course. If it looks good at 300dpi on my higher-end inkjet, will it look good silkscreened as well? Or is silkscreening even less tolerant of imperfections? Also does ink choice matter...in terms of water based vs plastisol...?
I'm a graphic designer so I do understand the mechanics of resolution, basically. I'm jsut looking for info specific to screen printing. Also if you can suggest a good online resource for designing for graphic prints that would be excellent.
Thanks!
Tim
