Default vertical image placement

I am new to screen printing and am in the procees of finalizing some designs and printing my first shirts. I just have a few questions about placing the image on the shirt. I am using simple designs and I know how to centre the image horizontally but I am wondering about vertical placement. Is there a standard placement method that I can use. i.e. the top of the image is 6 inches below the collar of the shirt, or something like this.

I am just trying to figure out if there is some method to this that I can apply to a womens small t-shirt all the way to a mens XL t-shirt.

Any help would be appreciated,
Ryan

This should help you in the right direction. Of course, it will have to be adjusted based on the size of your graphic.
