screenprinting on rib tees
I was just told that screenprinting can't be done well on a 1X1 rib tee. Is this true? The blanks companies offer so many styles in rib for t-shirts.
I know this is a basic question - I appreciate the input and expertise of this forum.

Re: screenprinting on rib tees You can print on them yet the results are not always the best for a couple of reasons.
When Manually printing it is hard to get enough pressure to fill all the nooks and crannies of the ribbed surface.
A lot of these garments are smaller in size, you stretch them on the palette. When you print and pull the shirt off, the print is distorted
halftone prints are real tough and usually require a larger halftone, simular to towel printing.

Re: screenprinting on rib tees Agree with Rich, detailed prints are not vivid. but surely can be printed, if you can design based on the fabric it should work. Print a couple and you will get an idea as to what sor works.

Re: screenprinting on rib tees Do you mean ribbed like those Von Dutch tank tops with that distressed printed logo that were popular a few years back? If yes how did they do it? Some kind of addative to make the paint stretch?
