Default Re-Tensionable Frames?

Who out there is using retensionable frames? Is there a noticeable difference in the print quality? Do you need to have a tensometer, or whatever that thing is called that measures the tension?

If you keep screens for very long, it would get pretty expensive real quick wouldn't it? Just wondering.

Retensionable frames are so much better than a static frame. The tighter the frame, the better quality of print. It will keep your printing consistent. Another advantage is when you print wet on wet, a tighter screen will have less ink build up.

And the tension meter is commonly known as a Newton Meter.

Retens are defiently the best option out there if you can afford them and keep up with them. I had 50 newmans yet sold them as I could not keep the man power to keep up with the frames so we switched to static aluminum. We just replace them more frequently.

Actually retens are cheaper over time as all you do is replce the mesh.
