Default Back clamping or side clamping????

Im about to buy a six colour machine. What differences would i see if I bought a side clamping machine as opposed to a back clamping machine? Is there that much of a difference to justify an extra $1000 ?

I have used both and recommend side clapping because i find them more sturdy and it is also more forgiving when when seting uo multi-colour jobs because you can bring the screens further out or in (if you have not exposed them in the corect postion ) thus meaning you don't have to waste time in re- exposure.
Take note of you max screen width when buying.
Hope it helps,
Rudi

I agree, Side clamps are the way to go. Better support for your frames and it also give you more room for error when burning your plates. If you not dead on a back clamp can limit you with minimal room for burn placement error.

Thanks guys, your a great help.

I was also wondering how much difference it would make with rotating bases as opposed to fixed bases

If you plan on printing quite a bit and multi colored prints I would get a swin base with multiple platens. Will speed up the print process quite a bit.
