good friday morning here in ohio.

a few questions for the group before i go off to deal with the world.

has anyone had any experience with software or plugins that is used to help you make color separations or say take a 10 color job and try to bring it down to a 6 color job. we currently use adobe software at this point.

i have done a little research and found a few programs that say they will do the separations, but the initial cost of the software can be expensive.

or what about any service bureaus that will take your image, rip it apart, burn the image on the correct screen and ship then to you.


hands on training is always good as well...any classes out there that are worth the time and effort?

its simple to color separate with adobe softwares. just google for 'index color separation tutorial' most of them use photoshop or illustrator.
