Default 42" film output printer?

I need suggestions on which large format printers are available that are able to output film, I need an output size of 42" and up!

I already have the huge roll of film, now I just need the printer,
some of you may have seen my post about a smaller printer, but we've decided to go all out.

That printer looks like it came from an old StarTrek episode. It's a shuttle craft. hmmm.

That is very strange. I have personally seen people print films with a Epson 9800 and US Screen sells a RIP for it. Here is the link - U.S. Screen Print and Inkjet Technology - FastRip™ LF. I have no clue as to which one is better or the pricing, but I know that it is an option if you want it. Hope this helps.

the avantra probably is alittle much the epson will print clear film but you have to make sure your media is waterbase film they make a solvent clear film as well as a thermal film that is the best all around film output device is a thermal printer check out the oyo instruments.

epson 9800 is your best bet. you buy the ink conversion kits from nazdar.. Nazdar. they sell the film as well. if anyone has experience with this setup, let me know.. i have some misregistration problems from time to time!!!!

I've got an Epson 9800 and 10000. They both work great. I got my water proof media from Parmele in Socal. You're going to need a RIP to get good results though. I'd recommend Wasatch.

Good luck,
