Default platens

where can i buy just a adult shirt platen? i just started screen printing, i have a speedball kit but the ink sucks and now the screen is locked up. so i ordered a photoez and some versatex inks and know now i need a platen to make the shirt prints not off center. it is very hard to just eye it up.

where can i just get a platen?

Go you your local Home Depot, Lowes, etc. and buy a piece of countertop-type material with the formica on it. Cut it to the size and shape you want, run a router around the edge to give it a nice curve that won't snag the shirts and attach your existing platen clamp to it. For adult size you'll probably want a 15" x 17" or 16" x 18" platen.

they have a variety of platens for youth to plus size shirts. you'll find what you are looking for.
