Hey, i normally put my designs on to a clear transparency to expose on my screens, but the biggest i can do is 8.5X11, are there bigger transparencys or a different method i could use to do larger designs, thanks!
are you using vellum?
when i was using my HP laser jet 4mv to output films i used vellum, the sheets were available in 11x17" format (printable are was 10.5x16.5")
If you're looking to invest in a new system for large format film output you may want to read up on using an inkjet printer as many of the forum members use (many posts on the different printers and media they use). They are very cost effective for large format film output compared to an imagesetter.
With kinkos or staples your image will never be dark enough. You will at a minimum have to double them up. There is always the debate between inkjet and imagesetter. I myself use a thermal imagesetter. It breaks down to if you want bigger images you need a bigger printer.
[quote=Astro_Ts;619083]I would say invest $199 in an Epson 1400. It can print 13"x19".
might be a lil more then 199, but getting a 1400 will give you the ability to print 13"x19"
when i was using a small printer to do my film i would tile them for bigger images.
then i got the epson 1400.
staples has a vellum that works but your burn times are a lot longer since its not real great vellum. but does work.
i swithced to transparency and dont think i can go bak to vellum.
