Default Designer tshirt label characteristics

Can someone break down the characteristics and processes that are used to create the popular brands today (Afflicted, Aqua7, Obey, RVCA.) The things I am looking for are:

Shirt material:

Type of printing (screenprinting, heat transfer, etc):

Type of ink used:

I have the designs that I want to use, I just need help on the components to get that super soft feel where the design looks like it is part of the shirt.

All comments are appreciated.

Hi Kevin,

I'll try to help answer your questions.

Shirt material: Most likely 100% cotton.

Type of printing: Almost certainly screenprinting.

Type of ink: Either waterbased ink or modified plastisol.

I think Jasonda summed it up pretty well.

You just have to find a quality blank t-shirt that you like. The brands you mentioned above probably have custom blanks made by the 1000's to their specifications that probably aren't available for general wholesale.

Article1.net, continental clothing, alternative apparel have some nice blank t-shirts that you may want to purchase samples from.

Then you have to find a water based ink screen printer to work with and you should be good to go
