Default CCI - ProChem Photokure CCX?? Anyone??

Apparently this stuff is simliar to Ulano QTX...but it's about $20 cheaper per (single) gallon. Has anyone used it and how does it compare to QTX?? I've been loyal to QTX due to its shelf life and quick exposure...would I be seeing the same with the CCX?

I know I can get discounts for purchasing 2 or 3 gallons at a time with QTX...but I'm not doing that kind of quantity just yet

What about Ulano QLT??? That sounds like another durable, fast exposing, yet cheaper option? Anyone used it??? How easy is it to reclaim??

Hi Kace

Yes, you would see the same exposure speed and shelf life comparing CCX to QTX.

ChemCons formula was designed to fit the same product characteristics.

They both have similar thickness (viscosity and solids content), which often is an important factor in making an emulsion change.

Note that regarding the QLT vs. the QTX: the former sports more solvent resistance and can be hardened for waterbased inks by using a Diazo additive sensitizer if desired.

FYI- Murakami makes an excellent alternative to QTX called Aquasol HVP.

I figure that I'm not out of bounds with this recommendation since responses were few, and you deserved someone's perspective, even if its a supplier's.

Happy trails!
