Default How to silk screen this design?

Hi,

I just got this order but I have no idea how to screen print it, it is a cheat print and I only have a manual press. I use laser films for the positives.

One of the problem I have is that the design is small and it is hard to adjust for the films properly. Like one little mess up and the whole screen is ruined, any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.

Thanks

If you are having a registration problem (gaps between colors), build your file so the dark pink letters are bigger than the black outline of the letters. Printers call this chokes and spreads. The black is printed last and covers the extra pink around the edges of the letters.

Is that what you are asking?

yeah, all you need to do is trap the pink fill under the black letter outlines

if the art is vector separate it manualy and add a 1pt outline to the pink for your trap.
You will probably need to do this for most of your multi colored work as the laser printer can and will shrink your films due to the printer using heat to fuse the toner to the paper/film.

Chokes and traps will help agains the shrinking. Just make sure you do a quick flash before printing the top color.
