Default Pad Printing info

I am about to buy a pad printing setup to expand my business. I was going to buy a new system but came across someone selling a never used Press-a-print system insanely cheap. I called them to see if I could get replacement parts and they told me that I need to be a memeber to get parts from them and membership starts at $10,000.00. My question is are there companies out there that sell universal parts? all I am concerned with is replacing the pads. Everything else is there.

Press a print is expensive, but as far as supplies you can find them elsewhere. We bought one of their pad presses on craigslist used, and it works. For doing anything more then a two color job it is a pain in the neck though. They just a have two station inkwell. So that is something to consider when looking a presses.
You can get everything press a print has to offer except their supplier lists from anyone else and the plastic inkwell trays for their press.
Supposedly, per one of the sale reps, Gary Hawke, you can buy the plastic trays without having a press a print operator number. We haven't quite been successful though.
There are lots of places to buy pads, ink, doctor blades, clichés, dot screens and all the other pad printing equipment.
Here are some suppliers. The only one I have personally used is Deco Tech, but there are tons more out there.

These people also have a set-up like press a print. I just found them when I was cruising around on the internet.

Hope this gives you some information. I am just getting into the business myself, but I like to research things and this is some of the stuff I've found.

Quick update for you. Press a print will not sell you any equipment what so ever, even little plastic ink trays, if you do buy their equipment package.
So onward to find a substitute for the plastic ink trays for our machine tell we can afford an upgrade.
