Default No wonder their business is going down

A couple of weeks ago a fella stopped by our shop to introduce himself as a sales person at another screen printing promotional shop about 30 minutes away from us. I never heard of them, but from what he told me they've been in business for over 20 years. Their business was crumbling and he asked if we were looking to hire some of his collegues as they needed to look for new jobs pretty soon.

Anyway he called up last week asking if we contract print. Sure... I price him and he orders a decent size order of 400 sweatshirts.

The turnaround needed to be 7 days, sure no problem we're used to quick turnarounds. So he promised he'd have the sweatshirts last Thursday. I call Friday to see whats up, he's not there so another employee calls and says it'll be here Monday (today). WHAT? I bit my lip and almost bursted out saying they had to pay a 200% rush fee but I really don't know why I didn't. I wanted to tell them that they either pay rush or it doesn't get done. But I also didn't want my shop to look bad and have their employees spreading crap around.

So now we need to foil these sweatshirts in 2 days while having other jobs I need to run. It's no wonder why their business is going down, they have monkeys working there.

I just have to bite the bullet this time around. I now know how they do things and I will get them back somehow. Man I feel taken advantage of. This pisses me off.

7 days from delivery of the shirts wasn't it?
Don't do your competitors any favours.

I agree, it should be 7 days from when you actually recieved the gear. Or renegotiate when the delays started.

It is 7 days from when we have products in hand. They messed up big time. I can get it done, but I almost feel like not getting it done on purpose.

Either way, the problem is I KEEP my word. If I say I'm getting it done, I'm getting it done. But I feel stupid for getting it done for them.

I will make them pay for this one way or another.
