ok guys so the problem is when i use my windows PC and print the image through illustrator I have the option to make it photo gloss paper and best photo printing, but when I am on my mac I cant get those settings. So if i print from my Windows PC it comes out nice and dark, but when i print on my mac its not dark will lines in it. I have the newest version of mac osx. epson 1400 and cs4. thanks any help would be nice

Hi Vision,
Sorry, I don't use my Mac for printing transparencies, but maybe this will help. When I print from Illy on my Mac it opens a printer dialog box. On the left top area of the box you can choose different options, look for color management and open it, then check your printer profiles. You may need to try a few different ones until you get the results you are looking for.
Only other thing I can think of is asking if you have the current Mac drivers for your Epson printer installed.
Maybe this will help, until someone else with more experience with transparencies chimes in.

You may need to upgrade your drivers but it sounds like you are printing at a low resolution. Try the printer settings.

if you want to change printer settings do this: when the print dialogue box comes up go down to the bottom row of buttons. click on the printer button. the next window that comes up will have a pull-down menu IN THE CENTER OF THAT WINDOW. pull down and release on print settings. there you'll be able to change paper and dpi output. (oh, and make sure you have your printer selected etc.).

thank you for your help. I found it. I had to click on the little arrow on the right corner and it bought down the menu. I been looking and looking for weeks and never could find it. Thank you so much.
