Can you use foil on baby tees and onesie's? Are there any laws regarding treatments on baby and toddler clothing? I cant seem to find much on this topic. CPSIA is generally where i would go to check this out.
I wouldnt do it. I got sued once when a kids house caught on fire and he was sleeping in one of my shirts. The shirt/ink got so hot the ink stuck to him. Parents sued and I had to prove the Tee wasn't "sleepwear". These days with heightened awareness with lead, etc and their food spilling on the foil, and kids sticking EVERYTHING into their mouths, who needs the grief?
Yes there are special regulations on baby clothing, especially anything a baby might sleep in. For inks, you want to steer clear of anything with metals, formaldehyde, lead, plastics, etc.

Thank you for this post. I just had a client that has a kids clothing line and 3-4 of their designs had foil on it. I was entertaining the thought of producing it, but after reading your article, I pushed them against this.
Do you know of any regulations against flock for kids shirts (2T-6T)
