Hi, i bought a screen press from a friend the 4 color press, curently i have only 1 wooden screen and 1 qt of white ink, im loooking to get a package of more screens and inks variety of ink

anyone know any sites?

or place to find decent priced screens

Since my supplier is on the other side of the world to you I don't have any recommendations for that, but I would say don't be too hasty in buying wooden screens. Most printers prefer aluminium - they're far more durable and don't cost much more.

ryan screen supply (ryanrss.com) has great prices on wooden frames with screens. i have several, i love em!

they also sell quarts of ink and can mix pantone ink colors as well.

wooden ones have to be cleaned with extra care because they can warp, or the ink/ emulsion can eat a hole in the mesh. sometimes wooden frames come pre stretched (which is very nice). you can do it yourself, but there are many steps involved to make sure your frame doesn't absorb moisture.

the majority of the screens that we have are metal ones from Hix. i love them, they are very easy to stretch, plus their system allows you to take out your mesh and restretch it within a matter of 5 minutes.

it's really just a matter of preference and budget, really.
