Default HELP: pricing a bid

Anyone out there that can help me. We just bid a job for about 180 s/s pocket t's, 180 pocket polos, and 20 denim shirts. I was told that we were about 3 dollars higher then the lowest bid on the t-shirts. 7 dollars higher then the lowest bid on polos, and 10 dollars higher then the lowest bid on denim shirts. Can someone please tell me what would you charge for this. And also if you charge real low how do you make any money. I think the lowest I have found the t-shirts for is around 1.20. Polos around 4.00 and well you guessed it a little higher for denim. Please help I am wondering is there a cheaper place then San Mar and if so would someone be willing to tell me where. Any help would be great and I thank you in advance.

The real question is are you retail or wholesale manufacturer? Two different progams completely.

I am retail. I am not big enough to be wholesale. But these other people are retail also and I was just wondering how they can do it for that price and still make money. Do they have some magical site that they can get there t's almost for free?

I think you still have to define your market and what yo can supply. Are you retail with a large order discount or wholesale with a manufacturers discount?

People won't really be able to answer that without knowing number of colours and print locations, etc.

on a job that size your price will not be a retil price but more along the lines of a wholesale price. Factor in the cost of the shirt and try to up charge it by 75-100% add your art and set up fees and printing fees. If you contract out the printing mark that up as well.
