What colors do i mix to get purple & medium yellow?

purple is red and blue, how much of each depends on the actual shade of purple. if you need enough to make it worth buying a qt. or gallon, it's way easier.

any yellow is a primary color, it can't be "made" you have to buy yellow ink.

Get a purple pigment. Mix it with cyan to make it bluish or magenta to make it redish.

Red, yellow, and blue are your primary colors. Red + yellow makes orange. Blue + yellow makes green. The amount of each of these determines how orange or green your yellow is. i.e. golden yellow has more red added, and lime green has more blue added. edit- adding black will make it a darker hue of the aforementioned mixes.
