Default Reducing Ink

I was wondering if anyone can help out. I have been printing for a while now, but never feel 100% happy with my results. I have had cases where inks fade after a single wash and even had inks just wash off.

I'm curious as to what could be going wrong? I have a pillar drill that loosens my ink, but not to the viscosity of ink i see on many tip videos i see on youtube etc. I'm wondering whether my ink could be too thick?

I cure my inks to the correct temp using a rather awful flash dryer and infra heat temp gun.

When i print a colour over the top of another (P-F-P), the inks always seem brittle and rough. I use 43T screens, which are a general all round screen.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

Default Re: Reducing Ink

You ink washed off because it it not fully cured.

On your p/f/p you are probably fully curing your underbase before putting your second layer on. For this you would only want them temp of the first layer getting to around 270F degrees while flashing.

If you ink is coming off its most likely to be undercured. Make sure the ink reaches the proper temp from top to bottom. Also stretch the ink after curing, if it cracks its undercured.
