Default info on t shirt type of printing

I am wanting to now more about the type of printing most of the surfing labels are doing now , it seems like some type of sreen printing I think but really lite in the print weight and colour variations isn't a problem ,i want to use this process but aren't able to find anyone who know anything about it ,it seams to be limitless in what you can print and it isn't vinyl, any advise would be great. Regards
