Default Ink came in via UPS and Container was Open and Spilled!

So I ordered some ink from Atlas Screen Supply and I had problem with the white ink I ordered.

It came in and when we opened the box, the white ink pail was half open and spilled all over. and once we cleaned up, the cover could not even fit on. The ink must have expanded.

So the next day I called Atlas up and told them what went down.

btw: they ship fast. At least for me. I'm in upper michigan and it always comes in 2 days.

They answered right away and said that when close to a heat source, the white ink tends to expand. They usually fill the pails with a little bit of room in case of expansion when shipping to places with temperature fluctuations.

Understandable.

Anyways. They said to see if it prints ok, but I don't really want to waste my time, not to mention a test shirt/ square to see if it is ok or not.

I am hoping that they just send me another pail free of charge.

I will let everyone know what happens when I talk to them tomorrow.

Has anyone else ever had this problem?

I am not blaming Atlas for any of the issues, if anything, it was a shipping mishap.

Atlas is an amazing place to get supplies and will send you free samples as well.

What do you guys think?

Thanks

Take Care

So I called back again and just requested that they give me a replacement of the gallon of white ink for free since I paid for a working product, not something I should have to test, and they were glad to do so. They wanted me to check the other inks too, they were completely fine.

I am going to try to use the expanded ink at a later time maybe giving the ink some time to condense or even just to see of it works sometime in the future when I have time and material to test it. I am doing everything at home, and I am just starting so money doesn't come easy right now.

Atlas is a great place to get supplies and have outstanding customer service reps on the phone.

If you can, call them, you won't be disappointed.

They are decent on responding to emails depending on the time of day.

I will respond back here on the white ink testing within the next few months or maybe just post a new thread. who knows.

Take Care.

I am new too actually, but I have been researching like crazy online and bought a book as well. Atlas has great customer service and ships fast to me, but I live 2 states away. Depending on where you live shipping may vary.

They are very efficient and easy to get a hold of though, so go ahead and give them a try. They won me over until I find a better provider.

Customer service and trust is a big thing for me, so I get picky.

Thanks for replying.
