Hello, I am new to the screen printing circle. I am currently printing as a hobbie with a thought of making a profit down the road. I recently purchased a printa 770. It came with some ink, but they all seem really thick. I was hoping someone out there could give me some info on when and why use plastisol reducers?

I buy thick ink also I guess that's why it so cheap but most suppliers have the ink reducer in stock the price is a little high 30-40 bucks . You use only a small for each qt. Or gallon. I bought a mixin bit from home depot for 8 bucks so each new gallon I buy I reduce it b4 printin

Freshly made plastisol made by most major manufactureres are creamy smooth. As they age in the can they get thicker and stickier. Make sure you order "Cureable" Reducer so you don't have curing issues. Try other brands. Buy ink from a supplier that turns over their shelf of ink quickly. Adding a small amount is fine. Don'r go crazy with it.
