Default Issues printing on Turqoise and Bright Blues

Hi,
I work for a clothing company and we are having issues getting our one factory to print on Turquoises or Bright Blues. It seems odd to me that it would be fine to print on Orange or Navy or Purple but not on bright blue.

They don't seem to use discharge- they keep telling us they are - but I don't think it is. I think its plastisol mixed with some kind of softener. I am not really sure and they don't seem to be either.

The only options they give us on these colors are SUPER SUPER PLASTICY - like really unwearable or so washed out and muddy and no where near our color standards.

Is there any reason this should be happening? Does anyone else have problems printing on Turquoise? They should be able to do this with discharge right and get decent colors and decent hand feel? Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions.

We've been back and forth on this issue for over a year.

Hello!

Not all colors are dischargable. So your printer may find that the colors that you are requesting will not discharge. Royal is known for not discharging.

Just a side note. Discharge prints are known to be a bit muddier or not as bright in color. It is going to depend on what color the shirt discharges out to. Meaning that it can be a really light natural/neutral color and you will get a good bright print or it can be darker neutral color and the print will be muted.

I hope that helps a bit.

Erin
