Does anybody know if there is any difference between the GP1201 and GP1202 Pantone formula guides other than the fact that the GP1202 also includes the matte colors?

In case anybody needs to know what the two formula guides I'm referring to are, here's a links to each of them:

GP1201: Graphics - FORMULA GUIDE coated, uncoated

GP1202: Graphics - PANTONE FORMULA GUIDE coated, uncoated, matte

my answer is: different covers.

Only they could further complicate themselves.

Thanks for this post....until now I didn't know that there is yet a Matte version available.

I wonder why you can order it seperately, but not the Coated version which most of our customers call for.

Does anyone know how much the Matte version differs from the Uncoated fan deck?

Pricing is going to be different everywhere, but I can tell you what the pricing difference is on the Pantone site if you get it directly from them...

The GP1201 (Coated/Uncoated) retails for $95 and the GP1202 (Coated/Uncoated/Matte) is $125. You can also buy the matte guide seperately for $60 if you just want to add it to the two books you probably already have, but most people probably wouldn't have much use for it.

The only reason I wanted to know if they were the same was because I can actually buy the 3 book set through school cheaper than I can get the 2 book set. I know it seems crazy, but for some reason the discount was higher on the three book set making it cheaper.
