Hey!

I have a conveyor dryer (very low end and basic) that uses a robertshaw infinite switch to control the temperature, however, the heat basically burns the components inside in about a week. They cost $25 a piece and it's just starting to get annoying now. Do you have any suggestions of some high capacity or high heat temperature controls (infinite switches)?

You need a theromstat, temperature probe, contactors and an electrician to wire it properly

The thermostat controls the temperature setting
the probe reads the temperature in the oven.
When the set temperature is reached the thermostat relay will break the signal to the contactors putting power into your dryer, the temp can be maintained within a couple of degrees depening on the type of thermostat you choose.
If your system is overheating there will be an underlying problem with the machine somewhere
perhaps you should get it checked over.

It sounds like you need to check the insulation of the box the switch is in. If this is the original switch that was installed on the unit, it should obviously last longer than that. Check to see if there is some fiberglas insulation inside the box that the switch installs in.
