wide format printers
I need to buy a wide format printer I think i'm going to go with a The Epson® Stylus Photo 1400 referb. But is the black good enough or for that matter is any printers black good enough for making my transparency?

Re: wide format printers Office Max has the Epson 1400 on sale right now until October 17 for only $199. I recently bought one and with a 3 year protection plan for $36 came to $256 total with tax here in California. I do plan on buying the Bigfoot CIS for it as well.

Re: wide format printers You can print black films with the right settings, without using the blackmax system, and have all of the other colors available for other printing needs. I use a CIS from inkjetfly and have great black films on just one black cartridge.

Re: wide format printers The Epson 1400 comes with dye ink cartridges. The R1800 and R1900 come with pigment ink cartridges. Pigment ink is more opaque.
