Default question about a homemade screen developer im buiding

Hi everyone, i'm new to the whole screen printing game and i'm trying to build a screen developer. I basically framed a large box about 24" high and 24lx24w. I then placed a glass wood framed window on top (24x24) where the screen will sit on, and then placed two 500watt halogen treble lights at the bottom.

Do i have to build walls or cover the top of my screen if i'm doing it in a UV safe room? (red light) (or no light) or can i leave the box open? (no walls) she gets pretty hot to cover up. :S

thanks

davE

2 halogens will get real hot...hot enough to melt your film.....you should be careful using 2 halogens...when you use 2 light sources the light crosses each other and exposes the screen differently in different places..the screen exposes faster were the light crosses and exposes slower were the light doesnt cross.I would suggest using black lights seen HERE.

just my opinion.
