Default Looking to make a cheap, basic, single point exposure, for home printing

Hi,
I am not a screen printer so much as an illustrator.
I'd like to do a little basic screen printing. I bought a really basic set with a screen and all the inks and emulsions etc.
I'm supposed to leave it outside to expose, but it is miserable weather here.
Would it be possible to buy a uv lamp of some sort and just point that at the screen for 30 mins while I left the room?
If so, what kind of lamp would I need?

This is the kind of thing I had in mind: Low Cost Screen Printing Machines

But I figured I could probably make one for cheaper.
It doesn't have to be fast or efficient, you know, just the most basic alternative to leaving a screen out in the sun.

Thanks
Tom

That is exactly it and if you use the search feature at the top of the page and type exposure units you will find many, many posts on the subject.

Thanks for the replies. I got a 500w halogen work lamp, and removed the glass. I bought some Speedball Diazo photo emulsion. Now all I need help with is distances and exposure times.

I know I'm going to have to figure exact times on my own but on this forum peoples exposure times vary from 3 mins to 30 mins and I have absolutely no idea where to begin. I read that the distance should be 1.5 x diagonal screen size, is this correct?

Thanks
