 bought a system 3 screen printing kit did a bad job!!!
bought a system 3 screen printing kit and it did a bad job!!! unsure if it was down to a mistake i may have made. first of all i made a stencil out of vinyl. i used drawing fluid to go over areas that i wanted and blocked areas i didnt with screen block after removing the vinyl from the mesh. after washing out the fluid i ussed a squeeege and applied the paint on to the tee. the problem was the ink was uneven on the areas that neede to print and in some cases didnt even touch the areas that needed inking!! the ink was also bleeding out.
is it because of the gage of the mesh??
is it because the screen shouldnt directly touch the tee shirt?? as mine did.
also i would like to know if the photo emulsion that you use on screens would work with any printed acetate or would it have to be done via a laser printer??
