I am currently printing film on an Epson 1400, using Ryonets waterproof film... I'm almost ready to make the price leap to the Accurip software - does it work with the standard inks (colored and black that come with printer) or do I have to use the Blackmax ink (the set-up with all black inks, costs $150.00 at ryonet)

AND are the blackmax carts JUST all the same black ink (quality, opacity, etc)? so in theory can I just take empty color carts and fill them with black ink (and reset the chip)?

ALSO - either way, If I get the the black max ink carts - has anyone swapped back and forth between these carts and the standard ones? I do use my 1400 for actual photo printing too... wasn't sure if the carts get gummy or the well ports dry up if they have been in the printer, then out of the printer...

I am using Accurip with Epson 7880 without the Blackmax ink and it works perfectly. BlackMax is an option in the Accurip Software.
