Default using flash units to cure

howdy -

i have a small garage set-up and am in the market for a flash unit which i will also be using to cure. i am wandering if it is worth the extra cash to purchase a vastex air flash unit or just stick with the more economical f flash variety.
my concern is that i will run into unanticipated problems with the cheaper unit. it is worth it to me to spend the extra cash to make things easier, but maybe it is easy to just use the cheaper units for curing. i don't know. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Al

If you're running waterbase or discharge inks, a flash unit with air-assist has a great advantage in helping the process of evaporation.

If not, most standard flash units are somewhat basic heat panel systems for plastisol inks.
The price differences of those has much to do with the panel size; make sure you get a large enough flash to easily cover your anticipated image area size.

Confirm the Amp power draw of any unit you consider, and the availability of the circuit to run it.

Happy trails!

Spend the extra $$$$ for the auto base; where the heating panel rotates in over the platen with the click of a foot pedal, and then rotates out of position away from the platen automatically based on time set by the operator. The air forced panels are great for even curing, and make sure your heating panel size is large enough to cover the largest size of print you anticipate you'll print now & in the future. You will always have & need a flash dryer, so spend the money now to get a really good one, so you don't have to trade out later. Vastex & Antec are my choices.
