Default Table top or legs?

Really - what is the difference between the two presses? Why pay for a machine with legs when a table top is less expensive? In my newbie searches i notice a large jump in costs between the two as well. What am I not understanding?

the difference between the two would be the space they take up if you've got the room and money a leg press is always the way to go but if your limited like garage printing, a tabletop is perfect another key difference is alot of table tops are either only one or two stations wich severly limits your speed on multiple color prints as you have to step out of the way to flash

Nothing really, besides the fact that some people would prefer the table top press because they probably already have a table at home for that. I myself bought 2 table tops and bought some bench grinder stands to set the presses. Very affordable and didn't have to cough up the $100 bucks or so they charge for the legs. So i guess is personal prefrence..

I have a single color single station and a 4 color single station on a "table" I built from 2x4s

Altho, i would say it's not really a table as it has no top surface, more of a frame really
