Discuss the different types of equipment needed for screen printing. Topics include manual screen printing presses, automatic presses, dryers, folding machines, starter kits and high end machines.
So I bought this dryer and is going to be delivered to me tomorrow. It's a National Screenprinting conveyor. The guy said it took 5 guys to load it on the back of his pickup (I don't know how he managed to do so yet) and I have very limited use of extra pairs of hands to unload it. It's 11 ft long. the body of it is about 5 ft. I figure unloading will be easier than loading but I still have no idea if it's possible with just a couple of us. Any help on this?

Yep, it's heavy. You'll need help.
Does it have casters? If so, maybe you can build a ramp from the truck and roll it down.
Darn. I don't think there are castors. This is going to be tricky. I have a larger bed in my truck than he has so I am really curious to know how he fit it in. I will find out in the morning. I would build a ramp but the only thing I am thinking is that I can get so fast is plywood and I don't think that will hold up.
I had seen a video about conveyors that some companies break them apart to ship but I don't know if this one breaks apart easily. I wish I had a manual to look at it. He couldn't find a model number on it.

Most dryers will break apart. I had to break mine apart, and still nearly killed myself and fiance unloading it awhile back. I actually just took a look at your photo, and it looks pretty light. But looks can be deceiving.
See? Thats what I was thinking. But until I talk to him I won't know for certain. What's inside? Motor to move the belt? Heater coil? Mostly hollow right? Am I delusional?
I got a neighbor at the last minute to help so I slipped him a few bucks. Saved me! So there was three of us and my wife helped with pad adjustment below it so we could slide it down. Now I need to get an electrician to install a 220 outlet in the garage. Unfortunately our box is on the opposite side of the house but oh well. This is the first piece of my new career. Wish me luck finding a press.
