Hello all,
we have a Roland SP-300v that we do digital format printing and have recently added a screen printing department which we will need to print large format screen prints. My question is this....
What kind of Vellum or Film Positive can I buy in a roll that will work on my rolland? the size of prints that we are doing will not work in a regular desk jet or laser printer and according to roland this printer will print on acatate. I have been given several samples of clear acatate but the eco-solvent inks will not hold they just run....does anyone use their rolanld for screen printing art work? This job is coming up and I need to figure it out soon....any help will be great...thanks for the information
Roland has a acatate paper that works well for backlit large format signs....the problem is that if I buy the roll and it doesnt work for the screen print artwork..I just wasted my money on something that doesnt work....since roland is in the digital print and not screen printing I was asking to see if anyone has used the roland to print the artwork on a known paper that was specific for screen printing film postivies.

I contacted a friend of mine at Roland to see what he says. I would think any of the industry waterproof films would work, but I'm willing to try some film to find out. More as soon as I have info.
