Question Screen printing on the bill of a hat?

Anyone know where I can get a hat attachment like this:

They might have made it themselves, I dunno.

I want to be able to print on the bill of the hat, like in the video. As far as I know press attachments like the "Hat Champ" don't allow you to print on the bill.

Any ideas?

You're right! Good eye. Thank you.

Edit - His post disappeared. Weird.

Anyway, it looks like they just laid the hat on the pallet to print on the bill.

Next question - Anyone know where to get a hat attachment for a good price? (Cheaper than the "hat champ"?)

One more question - Does anyone know what the best type of ink is for printing on foam front (polyester) hats?

Well, ideally dye sublimation ink + a heat press for polyester. Failing that, some nice solid plastisol is likely to look good.

Thanks Lewis! Will Plastisol wear off of polyester easily?

Not my area of expertise unfortunately. I've read that for printing on polyester you should use an additive, and I've read that for printing on polyester you don't need an additive, only for nylon.

Unfortunately since I don't print with plastisol, I don't know which to believe.

I guess it's time for some trial and error. (Which is one of the best ways of learning anyway I suppose!) I have a feeling regular plastisol might just do the trick. It's not as if a foam front will be washed or anything anyway. As long as it cures properly, I think it should stick.

Thanks again Lewis.
