Discuss the different types of equipment needed for screen printing. Topics include manual screen printing presses, automatic presses, dryers, folding machines, starter kits and high end machines.
I came across this on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6j59qNLw1c&feature=related Has anyone seen this before or know anything about it? Looks interesting, but I can’t find anything else on it. Looks like it might just be an overseas product. Any info would be appreciated.
Shane, what is your question about the coating of the screen or printing?
Just the whole process in general, I can’t tell what that machine was doing to the screen. Is that regular mesh or some kind of special mesh like splathead said, like what the expresscreen uses? But I have seen the expresscreen used in person. This is completely different. If it is like the expresscreen they do a much better job of tensioning the mesh.
Since we did not see them burning an image, I assumed that is what the machine was doing. The mesh looked like mesh from xpresscreen.
Technically, you could use xpresscreen's mesh in a re-tensionable frame too?
I know that with xpresscreen you still have to use an exposure table, that machine didn't have any light coming from it at all that I could tell. I mean it’s wide open, they're definitely not worried about it being exposed to light. Looked like maybe some kind of roller. Or maybe it was punching tiny holes or something to make the design.
