Default Teach me on my 1 color press

What are the parts circled in red used for? And I believe I can't set the off contact on this right? I have to manually stick some stuff on the screen itself to create off contact right?

And this clamp can't clamp all the way down? What's up with that?! What if I have thin wooden frames? I need to stick some stuff to thicken the frame right?

This is from dickblick, I am lazy to do a 1 color station but am feeling a bit regret now, please enlighten me on my questions, thanks!

I have no clue about the first circle, but the second item circled looks like it is a stabilizer to keep your locked in screen side of this press from going further than 90 degrees. That way you can put it up in between shirts.

I think the first is an arm lock to keep the screen and arm in an upright position. Looks like the metal tab angle should lock on the corner of the wood that the hinges are mounted on.

I assume that the first circle is just a stay,IE so that the screen doesn't go over 90 degrees. The second circle is a stay that stops your squeegee from falling off your screen when you lift up.

The clamp dose not clamp right down as the screen is usually approx 1 inch thick, a thinner frame might not be able to keep a good tension for the screen.

the first circle is to keep the screen from falling backwards. If you look down youll see a door hingeI agree that the secong pic is a support for a squeege
