can I go to home depot buy something that will work to clean my screens?
Hi everyone,
I use Plastisol ink and I always buy screen wash 147 to clean my screen after I print. I have to order this all the time.
What I want to know can I go to home depot buy something that will work to clean my screens to take of all the plastisol ink off?
Thank you,
Noe

re: can I go to home depot buy something that will work to clean my screens? No, just don't let it dry, wash it out with soapy water, That's what a guy i met at a screen printing trade show recommended to me, he owns a screen printing shop in WV , I was going to try it next time I print. Do a little peace can't hurt and screen ain't that much to try once, but, he really stood behind his statement when I asked him the same thing.

re: can I go to home depot buy something that will work to clean my screens? your best bet is using the 147 or a wash like it, using the harsh chemicals isnt worth the savings.

Re: can I go to home depot buy something that will work to clean my screens? DONT use lacquer thinner (or any other "hot" solvent), it will lock your emulsion in if it's not fully sensitized. Its hard to get it out..
Mineral spirits is ok, but it's worth the cost to just get press wash. I use Lawson PW305 and it works great.
