Halftones: Do I need a new printer or is there RIP software for my HP K8600?
I need some advice, I'm a screen printer that has started his own company and right now I've been doing my own artwork ( no experience). I've been using a HP Office Pro K8600 Inkjet because of the wide output, but now I need to print halftones. I don't think I can find any RIP software that is compatible to this printer so I'm left wondering if I should buy a different printer, price would definately be an issue. Can anybody recommend a good printer (laser or inkjet) with at least a 11X17 output or Rip software that is compatible (besides Ghostscript)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We use a HP Laserjet 8000N that we bought from a Copier / Printer sales and service. It was a trade in and we paid $400.00, it prints 11 X 17. With Corel you don't need a RIP program, just a postscript printer to print halftones.
Good Luck, John
