For anyone looking to build their own 4 color printing press
So i have been reading a lot of threads and a lot of people dont have the money to buy even a used 4 color screen printing press. Im in the same position and i started looking for some plans online on building one.
Here is one site that i found has free step by step plans on building one out of wood:

The guy who build that press is a forum member here, He started a thread here on the board about his press. It was still good you researched it because it's been a while.
Re: For anyone looking to build their own 4 color printing press
I've built a 1 color press (very easy) and almost done with a 2 color. Im going to try the 2 color first to see how well it holds registration, and if i get all worked out (with some type of micro) i will go ahead and build the 4 color press. I use to work in a machine shop a couple years back and have several ideas on building a tight and precise micro, but will see how it goes.
Re: For anyone looking to build their own 4 color printing press
I considered building one today but then i thought what if it doesnt come out right. then is it a waste of money on lumber because everything is so high on prices now. I think its not worth the time and money. If someone builds a 4 color 1 station and it comes out well pls let me know. Im considering buying one with my tax income. Anyone know a site i can get one for cheap. Lowest price i found was about 349.00 plus s&h not sure what the price is on that.. I considered craigslist but i want something up to date and i want warranty. Thanks.
Re: For anyone looking to build their own 4 color printing press
1 6 foot 2x4= $1.50
a piece of 1/4" plywood= $8.00
Lazy Susan Turntable= $7.00
A couple wood screws and other screws, door hinges= $5.00
Im building my own screen clamps and it shouldn't be more than $5.00 for what i need.
This is a 2 color press under $30 bucks is a bench model.
Now if i want to build a 4 color bench type press, i figure i would just need another 2x4= 1.50 and $5.00 worth of other hardware.
You don't have to break the bank for one to start off, once your buisness picks up you upgrade to one with a micro.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I dont have the money to buy a press just yet so i figured that if i can build this 4 color press for under $100, i could bring in enough money to upgrade.
Now all i have to do is find a place for the press to go!
