Smile upgradable/expandable manual presses

Hi, I want to buy my first press and I wil pretty much be doing a one color to start out but I know I will want more colors in the future. thats why I like the idea of the expandable presses like the livingston systems one. Is there any other companies that makes presses with the same concept? and if anyone has used the livingston, is it nice?

Thanks

Generally speaking I'd stick with the "known" brands.
M&R, Workhorse, Hopkins. Most others are variations of their designs.

Roger Jennings has a trade in on his equipment that seems cool, and
he certainly knows his stuff, but I haven't heard anything about the
quality of his presses.

If you are going to start with a one color press, do yourself
a favor and just buy a pair of Speedball jiffy clamps for $20.

Then, if you decide you like it, buy a 4 to 6 color press from
one of the above brands. Be sure it has micro's.

It's not the only way to do it, but it worked for me.

I bought a slightly used Vastex 2000 6/4, and upgraded it to an 8-color for $1500.

I've got $4500 in the press altogether.

And for one color, the jiffy clamps and a piece of particleboard are as good as anything. I made one to do coroplast yard signs. I've got about $25 in that one.

thanks you guys.

yeah im going with the clamps, I ordered a pack off blick that comes with a screen , squeegee, and clamps already on a board. I think that'll be a good set up for my one color needs.
